Advance Placement Courses and Exams

About: The AP curriculum prepares students to take the AP examination (for a fee) for college credit. Students whose test scores are considered acceptable on the AP exam usually receive college credit and/or advanced placement in the course for which they tested. Most exams are two to three hours long. The first part of the exam usually consists of multiple-choice questions, while the second part of the exam usually consists of free-response questions that require you to generate your own responses. To see if a college accepts AP exam scores for credit, please use this website: https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/creditandplacement/search-credit-policies

Cost: The AP Exam is $94.00* per exam. Please see Ms. Allen in A-Office with cash or check payment to register. Please make checks payable to Topeka West. Any exams registered for after November 15th will include a $40.00 late fee.
